HOMESTAY PROGRAM LAUNCHED IN BYDGOSZCZ

From now on students coming to the 18th edition of Plus Camerimage Film Festival (27th Nov through 4th Dec) can declare their participation in the Homestay Program. Program's idea is that students can find free of charge accommodation at the private flats or houses of the citizens of Bydgoszcz, who can in return take part in the festival events.
AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF BYDGOSZCZ HAS BEEN SIGNED!

Festival Director Marek Żydowicz and City's President Konstanty Dombrowicz have signed an agreement regarding the organization of Plus Camerimage, the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography. Moving the Festival to a different location will be accompanied by lots of improvements.
HONORARY AWARD TO JERZY SKOLIMOWSKI

This year's Lifetime Achievement Award to Polish Director With Unique Visual Sensitivity will be presented to internationally acclaimed filmmaker Jerzy Skolimowski. The renown director, scriptwriter and producer will be a honorary guest of the Festival.

WILLIAM A. FRAKER PASSES AWAY

It is with great grief that we inform about the death of one of the world's most respected cinematographers William A. Fraker, ASC, BSC. He died on May 31st at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles at the age of 86.

On Saturday, 10th April, Polish President Lech Kaczyński and his wife Maria Kaczyńska died in an air crash in Smolensk, Russia. There were no survivors among 96 people on board including Polish top defense officials, deputy speakers of the Polish Parliament, many Members of Parliament, senators, clergymen...
PLUS CAMERIMAGE MOVES OUT OF ŁÓDŹ

The organizers of Plus Camerimage, decided to move the festival out of the city of Łódź. Political activities of the city authorities resulted in suspension of the new festival and congress center project and in blocking the future development of the Festival.
