STUDENT ETUDES COMPETITION

Student Etudes Competition presents etudes selected from submissions sent by film schools from all over the world. The competitive films will be judged by an international Jury comprised of the recognized personages of film industry:
The screenings of the student etudes will be traditionally held on Wednesday (December 3rd).
Association of Polish Filmmakers (Stowarzyszenie Filmowców Polskich) decided to grant the Award of 3000 USD to the Winner of the Competition.
The Light for the Arts - OSRAM Company Award for a creative use of light in a film. The award of PLN 10,000 will be granted to the Laureate at the Closing Ceremony of the Festival. The student will be chosen from among all the nominees of the Laszlo Kovacs Student Award - Golden Tadpole.
Just the same as last year PANAVISION will grant the Special Award for Best Picture Technique in Student Film Competition to the best student among all the nominees - it's 25,000 euros' worth of equipement rental.

From now on we see what has been happening the passed birthday night and how the father tries to avert an incident that has already taken place.

The last days of World War 2. We find ourselves in a solitary Nazi-outpost hidden in the middle of the Alps. The German commander orders a young soldier to be shot by a platoon. Finding himself in a hopeless position with certain death awaiting him the soldier cries out to the platoon to stop the madness of war. The platoon hesitates and so the commander has to take the blood on his own hands. All of a sudden an American jeep with two GI's arrives in the outpost. We find out that the war is over.
