Wow… There is so much going on, that it is getting more and more difficult to keep you updated! After each of the competition screenings the conference room is full. Some of the meetings are organized also in the Documentary Film Center - POLONIA Cinema.
PRESS CONFERENCE OF THE CREATORS OF "DEPARTURES"

After the screening of a main competition movie Departures a press conference with the creators: the cinematographer – Takeshi Hamada and the director – Yôjirô Takita took place.

FIRST WORKSHOPS

First workshops are currently pending in the Lodz Film School. Editing workshop of Thelma Schoonmaker is attended by a croud of both students and more experienced filmmakers, who wish to know something more about the methods of working of our laureate.
FIRST PRESS CONFERENCES

The first day of the Festival was concluded with a press conference with John Mathieson, cinematographer of two of the presented movies – Cracks and Flashbacks of a Fool.
THE FESTIVAL HAS LAUNCHED!

During the opening gala several special awards were given (Richard Zanuck, Thelma Schoonmaker, Dariusz Wolski, Terry Gilliam, Volker Schlöndorff) and trailers of festival program were presented - telling the audience what to expect during the next week.
MEETING WITH TERRY GILLIAM AND NICOLA PECORINI

Terry Gilliam, this year's laureate of the SPECIAL AWARD TO THE DIRECTOR WITH UNIQUE VISUAL SENSITIVITY, will meet with students on Sunday, 29th of November at 5.45 PM, in the Grand Theatre's Conference Room. Also cinematographer Nicola Pecorini will participate in the meeting. Both filmmakers present their latest movie, The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus in this year's main competition.
FESTIVAL SUNDAY IN LODZ

If you do not make it to the Grand Theatre on 29th Nov, you can still participate in the festival events, including several meetings with our most important guests. A real movie fan cannot miss meetings with Thelma Schoonmaker or Volker Schlöndorff.

BILL MURRAY VISITS THE OPENING GALA

American actor and comedian, known from Saturday Night Life or movies such as Tootsie, Ghost Busters or Lost in Translation is already in Poland. During the opening gala Get Low will be presented - the latest film with Murray, playing a role of a funeral enterpreneur.
