Bydgoszcz is a city located in northern Poland only 45 kilometers from Torun where the Festival was created and held for 7 years.

The airport in Bydgoszcz (Ignacy Jan Paderewski Airport, BGZ) is about 10 minutes from the Festival Center in Opera Nova by car or by taxi and about 20 minutes by a city bus. The airport connects with Birmingham, Dublin, Duseldorf (Weeze) and London (Stansted). These are all Ryanair flights. To see the airport's website you can go here here

The other nearby airport which can serve as a connection point is the Lech Walesa Airport in Gdansk (2 hours drive north of Bydgoszcz) which offers many connections by various airlines including Lufthanza, Swiss, Ryanair, Wizzair, Air Berlin, Air Italy and several more. To visit the airport's website go here here. The best way to get from Gdansk airport to Bydgoszcz is to first take a taxi or a city bus (line 210) from the airport to Gdansk Central Railway Station (Gdansk Głowny) and use one of the connections that Polish Rail (PKP) offers between Gdańsk and Bydgoszcz (Bydgoszcz Głowna Station). Lawica Airport in Poznan is about two hours from Bydgoszcz and it connects with many destinations. Lufthansa, LOT, Sas, Wizz Air, Ryanair are among the airlines operating there and there are convenient connections with Munich International Airport or Frankfurt Airport. The airport is located 7 km from the city center and the “L" line of the city bus will take you from the airport to the Poznan Central Station (Poznan Głowny). To check the train schedule please go here. A train to Bydgoszcz takes about 2 hours. Poznan Bus Station is 5 minutes walk from the railway station and a coach to Bydgoszcz takes about 3 hours.

The main airport in Poland i.e. the Warsaw Chopin Airport is 5 hours drive from Bydgoszcz. Sometimes it might be the only option as most of the full-service airlines connect to this airport only. To get from Warsaw to Bydgoszcz you would need to get to the Central Railway Station (Dworzec Centralny) and then choose between a coach or a train. Coaches to Bydgoszcz leave from city bus stops situated in front of the station (bus stop 04 and 06) and it takes about 5 hours to get to Bydgoszcz. The timetables are displayed at the bus stops. It is easy accessible from the Bydgoszcz airport or bus and train stations by means of a taxi or city buses and trams. Near the Opera Nova there are the bus stops for lines: 54, 3, 8, 31N, 33N 34N (bus) and tram stops for lines: 3, 8 (tram)
